Dear clever reader - if you have a knack for internet wonders and can make this happen - I will love you forever...but here's an idea I have...why not create an online directory which lists people's email address?

I for one am a first point of call emailer, and perhaps then a text, or if I really care I'll pick up the phone. But honestly, isn't the email the main means of communication these days?
Why haven't the telcoms put their call centres to good use and started collecting email data that we can all access with the flick of a button - a 'white pages' of email?

Or the machinations behind facebook - oh imagine the power if they had everyone in the world's email information...or have they?
Nope, I'm afraid the ring of a phone is an interruption sometimes - sad but true. I've now crossed to the impersonality of the safe distance of email.
Oh dear.
