Bessie Blore’s love for regional, rural and remote Australia stems from countless childhood expeditions to almost every corner of the country. Having grown up on the Murray River in regional Victoria, and with family spread throughout most outback areas, she has a passion for the people and industries which keep these regions alive.
A family relocation to southeast Queensland saw Bessie begin her study of Journalism in Brisbane, before detouring on a magnificent one year adventure to the Northern Territory, with a brief stopover in the Kimberley. She continued her newfound love affair with the tropics by completing her studies in far north Queensland.
Bessie now lives with her boyfriend on a family owned sheep and cattle property in western New South Wales. Though she feels like a city slicker compared to most true blue bushies, she’s not afraid to try her hand at anything, from lamb marking, to mustering, or even shearing... though it’s always handy to be able to claim “work” and retreat to the world of Accidentally Outback!
